Advice about your Ad Campaign(s)
Please avoid making any direct changes to your campaign settings in general
It is always preferable and highly recommended that we discuss this first. We strongly advise to not click and apply any recommendation option in your account, applying a recommendation without knowledge of the potential side-effects to your campaigns is often a costly mistake.
Please let us know if your website forms, emails, and/or phone numbers change or are updated while we manage your Google Ads campaigns.
A very important part of any campaign is conversion tracking. Through accurately tracking valuable user actions on your website (like contact forms, phone numbers, etc) we are able to measure campaign
success and optimize for best performance.
Finally, please avoid repeatedly searching for your own ads in order to find out if
your campaigns are function properly.
This does not work. Google and Meta are smart enough to know that the same searches are carried out on the same keywords from the same people. If you click on your ad you will get charged with the current auction cost per click and further skew the reported traffic data.
Explanation of Ad Metrics
Our ad reports are collections of metrics that show how well the advertising campaign is performing. They can provide insights into what’s working well and what could be improved. Below you can learn more about what each metric means.
Impressions: A metric that counts how many times an ad appears on a user’s screen, regardless of whether the user interacts with it.
Impression Share: The percentage of impressions that your ads receive compared to the total number of impressions that your ads could get. Impression share = impressions / total eligible impressions. To increase impression share you can increase campaign budget (if very low), increase keyword bids (raising cpc), rethink audience targeting, review scheduling/device targeting and revisit ad placements.
Impression Top: The percentage of times your ad appears above organic search results.
Absolute Top: The percentage of times your ad appears as the very first ad above organic search results.
CTR (click-through rate): A metric that measures how often people click on an ad or link after seeing it. CTR is the number of clicks divided by the number of impressions, expressed as a percentage. For example, if an ad has 5 clicks and 100 impressions, its CTR is 5%.
Avg. CPC (average cost per click): The average amount of money an advertiser pays each time someone clicks on their ad, calculated by dividing the total cost of all clicks by the total number of clicks received.
CPM (cost per thousand impressions): The average cost an advertiser pays for every 1,000 impressions of their ad across a campaign.
Conversion Rate: The average number of conversions per ad interaction, shown as a percentage.
During the first month, performance might not be optimum, but in most cases, it will improve during Month 2 and moving forward. Our team’s goal is to generate quality leads for you on day 1 if possible, but we need to be aware that this scenario will not be realistic for all campaigns, especially at a low monthly budget.
Thank you for reading, and for your help on the mentioned matters! Please let us know if you have questions or need to discuss your campaign performance!
